Didcot Twinning Association

Annual financial statement for 2013-2014

The Association’s income was reduced this last financial year by £768. The previous year there were a meal repayment, proceeds from a race night and coffee morning which did not occur in the last financial year. Finding a date for the plant sale is becoming increasingly difficult and is proving impossible this year.

There were one off increased costs due to hosting the ‘Didcot Planegg Twinning’ visit which was a great success. Didcot is now part of a three way twinning with Meylan and Planegg. All three towns are involved with high technology science. The association continues to work with and support exchanges and dialogue with schools in the twin towns.

This year we plan to visit Planegg for a reciprocal twinning visit in the autumn. Members will pay their own costs.

In 2015 we hope both Meylan and Planegg will visit Didcot at the same time which we hope will have a saving.

The association now has an insurance policy to protect members.
