JOURNÉE FRANÇAISE (FRENCH DAY)
When: Saturday March 27th 2010
Time: 10.30 am until 3pm
Where: Ladygrove Park Primary School, Avon Way Didcot, OX11 7GB
People attending this day will have an opportunity to be introduced to the
French Language and culture in a fun way through games and activities,
including cooking.
- For smaller children there will be the chance to learn some French
activity songs and games in an informal situation.
- Adults who would like an introduction to French in a relaxed environment
will have the chance to learn some useful phrases for holidays.
- Adults or older children who already speak French can learn or brush up
on their situational French before their holidays or, for the more
proficient, discuss current affairs.
- We are also delighted to be able to offer practice sessions for GCSE
oral French with feedback provided to students to help improve their
performance.
- If you own a house in France and require some specialist language skills
to deal with local artisans, please let us know when you register as this
could also be arranged.
The day will be led by experienced teachers of French and native speakers and
groups arranged according to levels of prior experience.
Attendance for the whole day will cost £15 per head. This will be reduced to
£10 per head for two or more people from the same family. The price includes
mid-morning coffee and croissants.
Lunches on a French theme will be available for purchase from our Café.
